My love for baking started when I was little, standing on a chair beside my grandma, watching her work her magic in the kitchen. Those moments - flour-dusted hands, the warmth of the oven, and the joy of creating something from scratch planted a seed in my heart.
In 2019, when I began working at Chesapeake Pie Company, that love only grew. Pies became my passion because of their flaky crusts, sweet and savory fillings, and the way they bring people together. Unfortunately, due to COVID, our pie shop never had the chance to open its doors. However, over the years, I have continued to bake for friends and family, finding happiness in every roll of dough and every pie fresh from the oven.
Now, in my third year of college, life is busier than ever. But no matter how hectic things get, I’ve realized one thing. I am my happiest when I am baking! After many conversations with God, my momma, and my sister (my biggest inspirations and motivators), I’ve finally decided to take a leap of faith and start my own micro bakery!
